Interview Preparation FAQs
What is the difference between the Group and 1-to-1 Intensive Courses?
The Group Intensive Course costs £199 and provides six hours of live group teaching and a one-hour personalised 1-to-1 mock interview with feedback. The Personalised 1-to-1 Intensive Course costs £299 and provides all seven hours privately, including a one-hour personalised mock interview with feedback, with preparation tailored to the student's needs and chosen university.
What does the Medical School Interview Intensive Course include?
The course includes six hours of live group preparation covering MMI and Panel interviews, medical ethics, NHS topics, communication, role-play and university-specific interview practice. Students also receive a one-hour personalised 1-to-1 mock interview with feedback.
Does the Intensive Course include a mock interview?
Yes. Both courses include a dedicated one-hour personalised 1-to-1 mock interview with feedback.
Should I choose a course or a mock interview?
Choose a course if you still need to build your knowledge, technique or answer structure. Choose a mock when you are ready to test your preparation under realistic interview conditions. Many students may benefit from preparation first and a mock closer to their interview.
How should I prepare for a medical school interview?
Check your university’s interview guidance, reflect on your motivation and experiences, and practise explaining your thinking aloud. Combine MMI or Panel practice with medical ethics, NHS topics and feedback on your communication.
What is an MMI interview?
MMI stands for Multiple Mini Interview. It involves a series of short stations that may explore communication, ethical reasoning, motivation or role-play. The number, length and style of stations vary by university.
What is the difference between an MMI and a Panel interview?
An MMI moves through separate stations, usually with different interviewers. A Panel interview is a longer conversation with a group of interviewers. Both give you opportunities to explain your motivation, reasoning and communication skills.
How long should I prepare for a medical school interview?
Give yourself time for regular practice, feedback and reflection where possible. There is no single preparation period that suits everyone. Choose a structured programme for ongoing support or focused sessions when your interview is closer.
Do you offer university-specific medical interview preparation?
Yes. The £299 Personalised 1-to-1 Medical School Interview Intensive Course includes six hours of individual preparation and a one-hour university-specific mock interview with feedback. You can also book a university-specific mock interview separately. Preparation follows the university’s published interview format. Tell us your medical school and interview date when enquiring.
Can I book a mock interview without joining the 12-week programme?
Yes. The university-specific mock interview is available separately for £45, or you can choose two personalised mock interviews for £80.
Do you provide Dentistry interview preparation?
Yes. MediBrain UK provides Medicine and Dentistry interview preparation. Tell us you are applying for Dentistry when enquiring so we can discuss preparation suited to your course and interview format.
What happens during a medical school mock interview?
You practise timed questions or stations in a realistic interview simulation tailored to your selected university. Afterwards, you receive personalised feedback on your strengths and areas to improve. Practice scenarios are not actual university interview questions.
What if my medical school interview is only a few days away?
Tell us your interview date when you enquire. The seven-hour Medical School Interview Intensive Course, personalised 1-to-1 preparation or a mock interview may suit a short preparation window. Contact us to check scheduling before booking.
What is medical interview confidence coaching?
Confidence coaching focuses on how you communicate and perform under pressure. The £49 two-hour live online group bootcamp covers nerves, body language, voice, unexpected questions and practical communication through live exercises and feedback on selected Saturdays.
Can I book 1-to-1 medical interview preparation?
Yes. Choose the seven-hour Personalised 1-to-1 Medical School Interview Intensive Course for £299, including six hours of individual preparation and a one-hour personalised mock interview with feedback.
How does university-specific interview preparation work?
Tell us your university and the interview information you have received. Preparation is tailored to its interview format, with relevant practice, strategy and feedback. MediBrain UK is independent and does not claim university affiliation or access to actual interview questions.
