Getting Into Medical School Is a Process. We've Done It — Let Us Guide You.

Most applicants approach medicine alone, making avoidable mistakes that cost them offers. MediBrain UK pairs you with a current medical student who navigated the exact same application cycle — from UCAS to interview room — and came out with an offer.

Not Coaches

One Service. Three Specialists. Every Part of Your Application Covered.

Most admissions services give you a single advisor and call it support. MediBrain UK gives you a dedicated team — an admissions coach who got in last cycle, an A-Level biology specialist to strengthen your predicted grades, and a confidence coach to prepare you to perform on interview day. No other admissions service in the UK offers all three under one roof.

See the Difference

Other Services Give You One Coach.
We Give You a Team.

One person can't be brilliant at everything. So we don't ask them to be.

Admissions Coach

Someone Who Sat Your Exact Interview Last Year

Not an advisor with a handbook. A current UK medical student who sat your UCAT, wrote under the new 3-question personal statement format and walked into the same MMI rooms you'll face. Their knowledge is from last cycle — not five years ago.

Confidence Coach

Knowing the Answer Isn't Enough if Nerves Take Over

Answering a question clearly at home and delivering it under pressure in an MMI station are two completely different things. Our confidence coaches work on how you come across — composure, articulation, thinking clearly when the stakes are real. Most students never prepare for this part. The ones who do arrive calmer and perform better.

Three specialists. One application. All working on the same goal — getting you an offer.

You Won't Be Coached by a Coach.
You'll Be Coached by Someone Who Just Got In.

Every MediBrain UK coach is a current UK medical student who secured their offer in the 2025 or 2026 cycle — under the exact same UCAS format, UCAT and interview formats you're about to face.

Every MediBrain UK Coach Has:
A confirmed UK medical school offerSecured in 2025 or 2026 — not years ago, not from a different era of admissions.
Written the new 3-question personal statementThey didn't just read the guidance — they answered those exact questions and received an interview.
Sat the UCAT and performed under real conditionsThey know what preparation actually works — not what revision guides claim works.
Walked into a real MMI or panel interview roomThey can tell you exactly what the stations felt like, what the interviewers responded to and what tripped them up.

MediBrain UK Is Built
for Every Type of Applicant

Wherever you are in the process — planning for next year, reapplying after a rejection or applying as a graduate — there's a path here for you.

Year 12 & 13 Students

You're in the middle of A-levels and trying to plan everything simultaneously — UCAT, personal statement, school selection, work experience. We bring structure and priority to what can feel overwhelming.

Start early — ideally 12+ months before UCAS submission.
Gap Year

Reapplicants & Gap Year Students

You applied before and didn't get what you needed. We start with a detailed diagnosis of exactly what held you back — and rebuild your application systematically before the next cycle opens.

Reapplication is winnable — with the right changes.

Graduate Entry (GEM) Applicants

GEM programmes have different entry requirements, smaller cohorts and fierce competition. We know which graduate schools suit your degree background and help you frame your experience in the way GEM selectors reward.

13 GEM programmes in the UK — we know every one.

International Applicants

Applying to UK medical schools from overseas adds layers most applicants don't anticipate — international student quotas, visa requirements, recognition of qualifications and interview logistics. We navigate all of it.

We advise on which schools genuinely welcome international students.

Not sure which category you fit? Book a free call — we'll tell you where you stand and what kind of support makes sense for your situation.

Every Stage of Your Application —
Covered and Coached

Medical school admissions has more moving parts than most applicants realise. We cover all of them.

School Selection Strategy

Your four UCAS choices are among the most consequential decisions of your application. We analyse your UCAT score, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement strength — then match you to schools where you have the strongest realistic chance of an offer.

  • Full profile assessment against each school's entry criteria
  • UCAT cutoff analysis across all 44 schools
  • Interview format alignment with your strengths
  • Balanced choices — realistic, reach and safety

Personal Statement Coaching

The 2025 UCAS personal statement is now three structured questions, not one open essay. We coach you on exactly how to answer each question, what admissions teams at each school are marking against, and how to make your answers stand out in a shortlist of thousands.

  • Full coaching on the new 3-question UCAS format
  • School-specific angle and keyword strategy
  • Multiple drafts with line-by-line written feedback
  • Work experience reflection coaching

Application Timeline Planning

UCAS deadlines, UCAT registration windows, interview seasons and offer decision dates — a missed deadline costs you the cycle. We map every critical date, issue advance reminders and ensure you're always prepared ahead of time, never scrambling to react.

  • Personalised month-by-month application roadmap
  • UCAT prep windows built into your schedule
  • Interview preparation lead times planned in advance
  • Deadline reminders and progress check-ins

Work Experience Guidance

Getting work experience is only half the job. Translating it into compelling, structured reflections that demonstrate genuine insight — the kind that stands out in both the personal statement and interview — is where most applicants fall short. We coach both.

  • Advice on which experiences carry the most admissions weight
  • How to write reflections that go beyond surface description
  • Connecting experiences to your motivation for medicine
  • Interview-ready talking points from each experience

Interview Preparation

Whether your schools use MMI stations or a traditional panel format, our coaches have sat exactly those interviews. We run realistic mock sessions with live feedback — not generic Q&A practice, but the actual station types and questions your specific schools use.

  • School-specific MMI and panel mock sessions
  • Medical ethics, NHS hot topics & role-play stations
  • Performance coaching and composure under pressure
  • Written feedback report after every mock

Post-Offer & Clearing Support

Received your offer — or didn't? Both situations have a right next move. We advise on offer conditions, deferred entry, resit strategy, gap year planning and clearing navigation so you make the best possible decision for your future, not just the most obvious one.

  • Offer condition review and acceptance strategy
  • Deferred entry and gap year planning
  • Resit and reapplication roadmap if needed
  • Clearing and insurance choice navigation

Critical Changes Every 2025–2027
Applicant Must Know

UK medical admissions has changed significantly in the past two years. Most applicants — and most admissions services — haven't caught up.

New UCAS Personal Statement Format

From 2025, the single open personal statement has been replaced by three structured questions. Each question asks something different of you. Coaching designed for the old format will actively harm your chances under the new one.

MediBrain UK is fully updated for the new format.
UCAT Now Required Across All UK Schools

UCAT is now the standard admissions test across all UK medical schools. A weak UCAT score closes doors — making early, structured preparation essential, not optional. How you use your score in school selection is equally critical.

We advise on UCAT prep strategy and score-based school selection.
Competition Has Never Been Higher

Applications to UK medical schools continue to rise. Shortlisting thresholds are increasing year on year. A strong application that would have scored an interview five years ago may not even clear the initial screening today — the bar has genuinely moved.

Start earlier. Prepare smarter. Apply with confidence.

In Clearing? There's Still a Route Into Medicine.

Results Day can go either way. If you didn't receive the offer you were hoping for, clearing is not the end of your medical school journey — it can be the start of a better-planned one.

MediBrain UK provides rapid clearing advice — which schools have places, what's needed to secure one, and whether insurance or strategic reapplication is the right move for your specific situation.

Clearing Day Emergency CallSame-day consultation slots available on A-level results day for students in clearing.
Reapplication RoadmapA detailed plan of what to strengthen before the next UCAS cycle — UCAT retake, work experience, PS strategy.
Gap Year & Alternative RoutesWhether biomedical science, overseas medicine or a strategic gap year — we help you pick the path most likely to get you in.

What to do on Results Day
1
Check your UCAS Hub first — don't panicConfirm which offers are confirmed, conditional or declined before calling any clearing lines.
2
Call MediBrain UK before calling any universityA 15-minute call can save you from making the wrong clearing decision under pressure.
3
Consider whether reapplication is the stronger optionClearing places in medicine are rare. For most students, a strategic gap year and reapplication delivers a much stronger outcome.

Admissions Support FAQs

Everything you need to know about working with MediBrain UK on your medical school application.

Ask Us a Question
When is the right time to start admissions support?
The earlier, the better — ideally at least 12 months before your UCAS submission. This allows time for strategic school selection, UCAT preparation, work experience planning and multiple drafts of your personal statement. That said, we support applicants at every stage — even if your interview is in weeks.
Is MediBrain UK support for first-time applicants or re-applicants too?
Both. For first-time applicants, we build the strongest possible application from scratch. For re-applicants, we conduct a detailed diagnosis of what went wrong last cycle — UCAT score, school selection, personal statement or interview — and build a targeted improvement plan for reapplication.
How are your coaches different from a typical admissions coach?
Our coaches are current UK medical students who secured their own offers in 2025 and 2026 — under the same UCAS cycle, same UCAT format and same interview formats you'll face. They don't teach from a textbook; they coach from direct, recent personal experience. That's a fundamentally different level of insight.
Do you cover the new 2025 UCAS personal statement format?
Yes — fully. The 2025 UCAS cycle replaced the traditional personal statement with three structured questions. All MediBrain UK personal statement coaching is built around the new format, including how each question is assessed and what admissions teams at your specific schools are looking for in each answer.
Can you help with dentistry applications as well as medicine?
Yes — we support applicants to both medicine and dentistry programmes across all UK schools. Dentistry has its own distinct school selection considerations, UCAT strategy and interview formats, and our team covers all of them.
