Find the 4 Medical or Dental Schools Where You Have the Strongest Chance of an Interview.

Your UCAT score, predicted A-levels and GCSEs already tell you which schools to apply to. Most applicants never read that data — they guess, or copy a friend's list. In one hour, we map your profile against every UK medical school's published entry criteria and hand you an evidence-based, ranked shortlist.

School selection matters more than ever. With UCAT now universal across all UK medical schools and application numbers rising year on year, getting your four choices right is the single highest-impact decision in your application.

Most Applicants Choose the Wrong Schools.
Here's Why It Costs Them an Offer.

Your four UCAS choices are fixed the moment you submit. There is no correcting a mistake after the deadline — and a poor school list can mean zero interviews regardless of how strong your personal statement is.

Choosing by Reputation, Not Data

Many applicants pick schools based on league table rankings or name recognition — not on whether their UCAT score and grades actually clear that school's entry thresholds. Reputation doesn't equal profile fit.

Copying a Friend's School List

A school that fits your friend's UCAT score and A-level predictions may be entirely wrong for yours. Every applicant profile is different. A copied list optimises for someone else's chances, not yours.

Ignoring Interview Format Fit

Some applicants perform significantly better in MMI than panel, or vice versa. Applying to four MMI schools when a panel format suits you better is a structural disadvantage — one that smart school selection avoids entirely.

What We Analyse in Your
One-Hour Session

We arrive prepared. Before your session begins, your consultant maps your academic profile against current published entry data for all 44 UK medical and dental schools. The hour itself is spent analysing, discussing and deciding — not gathering basic information from scratch.

UCAT Score Analysis

We place your UCAT total and subtest scores against each school's published and estimated cutoff thresholds — identifying where your score comfortably clears, where you're borderline and where applying would waste a UCAS choice.

Predicted A-Level Matching

Every UK medical school publishes minimum A-level requirements — but many have effective thresholds well above the stated minimum. We match your predicted grades and subject combination against what each school actually offers to, not just what they state.

GCSE Profile Review

Several UK medical schools weight GCSEs heavily in their shortlisting formula — some calculate a GCSE score as part of the admissions algorithm alongside UCAT. We identify which schools your GCSE profile favours and which to avoid.

Interview Format Alignment

MMI and panel interviews require fundamentally different skills and preparation. We assess which format suits you better and factor this into school selection — so your shortlist plays to your interview strengths, not against them.

What You Receive

At the End of Your Session,
You Leave with a Clear Answer.

Not a vague sense of direction. A specific, ranked list of four schools — with written reasoning for each — that you can submit to UCAS with confidence.

Ranked School Shortlist

Your four UCAS choices ranked by realistic chance of success — stretch, target and safe — based on your specific UCAT score, grades and GCSEs.

Written Rationale

A written summary explaining why each school made your list, what thresholds you clear and what to be aware of — delivered within 24 hours of your session.

Schools to Avoid

We flag the schools where your profile sits at a structural disadvantage — so you don't waste a UCAS choice on an application unlikely to reach shortlisting.

Next Steps Roadmap

A clear outline of what to focus on next — UCAT retake if needed, work experience gaps, PS angles — specific to your shortlist and timeline.

Three Steps to Your
Personalised School Shortlist

Straightforward process, clear outcome.

01

Book & Complete Your Profile

Book online and complete a short pre-session form covering your UCAT score (or estimated score), predicted A-levels, GCSE grades and any schools you're currently considering. Your consultant reviews this before the session so the full hour is spent on decisions, not data gathering.

02

Your 1-Hour Session

A focused, one-to-one video call with your MediBrain UK consultant. We work through your profile against each school's real entry criteria — UCAT thresholds, grade requirements, GCSE weighting and interview format — and build your ranked shortlist together in the session.

03

Receive Your Written Shortlist

Within 24 hours of your session we deliver your written output — four ranked schools with rationale for each, schools flagged to avoid, and a next-steps roadmap. A document you can act on straight away.

One Price. No Packages.
No Surprises.

A single consultation is £100 per hour. That is the entire cost — including pre-session preparation by your consultant, the full one-hour session and the written shortlist delivered within 24 hours.

There are no packages, no bundles and nothing hidden. If you need a second session — to revisit your choices after a UCAT retake, for example — each is booked independently at the same £100 rate.

This Consultation Is Designed For

Anyone applying to a UK medical or dental school who wants to make their four UCAS choices based on evidence, not guesswork.

Year 12 & 13 Students

You're preparing your UCAS application and want to know — from the data — which four schools genuinely suit your profile before you commit to applying.

Gap Year

Reapplicants

You applied before and received no interviews. A school selection consultation helps identify whether your choices — not just your application — were part of the problem.

Graduate Entry (GEM)

GEM programmes have different thresholds and smaller intakes. Knowing which of the 13 programmes genuinely suit your graduate profile is critical before applying.

International Applicants

Not every UK medical school accepts international students on equal terms. We identify the schools where your international application has a genuine, realistic chance.

Questions About the Consultation

Everything you need to know before booking your university selection session.

Ask a Question
Do I need my actual UCAT score before I book?
No. Many students book before sitting the UCAT, using a predicted or practice score. We run the session on your estimated score and can revisit the shortlist once your actual result is confirmed — at no additional charge if the recommended schools remain the same.
Can I book more than one session?
Yes. Some students book a second session after receiving their UCAT result or updated predicted grades to refine their shortlist. Each session is £100 and is booked independently — there's no requirement to commit to more than one at the time of booking.
Does the £100 include the written shortlist?
Yes — entirely. The £100 covers your consultant's pre-session preparation, the full 60-minute video session and the written shortlist with rationale delivered within 24 hours. There are no additional charges whatsoever.
Is this for medicine only, or dentistry too?
Both. We run identical consultations for aspiring dentists — analysing your profile against all UK dental schools' UCAT thresholds, A-level requirements and GCSE criteria, and delivering a ranked BDS shortlist with the same written output.
What if I want help with the rest of my application after this?
After your consultation you'll have a clear school shortlist to work from. If you'd like support building the application — personal statement coaching, UCAS strategy and interview preparation — our full admissions support service picks up exactly where this consultation ends. There's no obligation to continue, but the path is there if you want it.
